Yet another bad wreck there. Hope no one died. How many wrecks have to happen before they fast-track a traffic light? **** poor planning there. Light should ha ve been installed when WM opened. Cancer Center made problem 10x worse.

It has been in the works for months. If I am not mistaken there is a problem with funding from VDOT to make it happen. The City can only fund so much of it without help from the State has been what I've been told.

The sad thing is it normally takes something like the accident today to make it happen. Any word as to injuries, etc. I have seen two helicopters circling the City for quite some time now.

The current rumor is it was multiple vehicles (3?), older driver hit two other cars

They should close that entrance down until they get funding for the traffic light. I also find it kinda funny that LENOWISCO wants to up the speed limit there and on 23 to 60. Also, they should make the entrance to the cancer center where the Inn is. That would alleviate some of the problem.

A Norton, Virginia accident left one person dead and six injured.

Norton, Virginia authorities say the wreck happened at 12:35 Tuesday afternoon on US 58 and Hawthorne Drive.

Norton City Police say 3 vehicles were involved.

Police have cleared the scene and their investigation is ongoing

I happened to be driving by when I'm guessing it had just happened not long before, ambulances were still coming in and then seen the choppers. I looked over and just seen one of the cars, it was a white one with the top cut off, terrible stuff. I've always not tried to look, I mean I'm as curious as the next person, but always worried I'm going to see something that's going to stick with me for a long time.

I really don't think the center has made it much worse, I've actually only seen anyone coming out of there a handful of times. It's just always been bad and it's the going in and out to walmart, has been dangerous and needed a light there for a very long time.
